A live workshop with Tiffany Sauder & Brian Kavicky
If you don't have goals, somebody will make you part of theirs.
Balance isn't time management.
It's alignment.
I hear the same three sentences from women constantly. I feel out of balance. I feel burned out. I feel guilty. And we all reach for the same fix: Get more organized, get more structured, get more disciplined. Build a day with no margin for error and hope balance shows up on the other side.
It doesn't, because balance was never a function of time. It's a function of your energy being aligned with who you're becoming.
I can run an eighteen-hour day and walk in the door with more energy than I left with, when that day was spent in alignment. I can also have a light week that leaves me resentful, because none of it was mine.
I know exactly who I built this for.
I keep noticing the same thing in these rooms. It isn't that we can't set goals. It's that we've been carrying everyone else's for so long we never got around to our own.
- You've never actually written down your values or your goals.
- You don't know where to start, because you've been worried about everybody else for so long.
- You have goals, but they need sharpening or a different lens entirely.
- You have so many goals that you end every year feeling like you failed.
You don't need to arrive with goals. Getting them out of you is what the day is for.
You'll leave with it done.
Not started.
This isn't a day of listening to us talk. We teach in short bursts, and then you work. Worksheet in front of you, women at your table to think out loud with. That part is where most of it happens.
Your values
Named in your own words, not borrowed off somebody's wall.
Life's Roadmap
What you want to be remembered for, and what that asks of you now.
One-year goals
Specific enough that you know what to do Monday morning.
Financial goals
The number, and what the number is actually for.
A bucket list
The things you keep saying you'll get to someday.
The conversation at home
Language to take all of this to your spouse so it actually sticks.
He's been my coach for fifteen years.
And we're finally teaching together.
Brian has spent his career teaching leaders how to set goals that actually move. I've been building and teaching the values half on the podcast and in workshops. Until now we've never put both in the same room on the same day, which is the only way you get the whole recipe.
