Why Outsourcing My Laundry Is the Best Decision I’ve Made All Year

And why you should probably try it too.

Let me guess: you’ve said to yourself at least once, “I really should outsource my laundry.”
But then comes the spiral:
Is that ridiculous? Is it a rich people thing? Do I really need someone else to fold my underwear?
I get it. I’ve heard it all. That’s why I brought my friend Caitlin Bond on the podcast — because she was right there in that spiral too… until she tried it.

And guess what? She’s never going back.

“It’s Not a Rich People Thing. It’s a Smart Mom Thing.”

Caitlin is a full-time marketing operations manager, mom to a 6-year-old, wife to a husband who travels weekly, and the CEO of all things home-life chaos. When I first nudged her to try outsourcing her laundry, she hesitated — not because she didn’t want to — but because it felt... indulgent.

“I thought it was a Hilton butler kind of thing — not a real-life working mom kind of thing,” she said.
Spoiler: It is.

She tried it once. $35. One bag stuffed full. Everything came back clean, folded, smelling amazing, and labeled like a dream. Game. Changed.

The Real Gift? Mental Clarity.

We talk a lot about time, but what laundry actually steals from working moms is mental energy.

The constant background noise of “Do I need to flip the laundry?”
The Sunday evening panic of baskets overflowing.
The missed snuggles, puzzles, or baseball games because you're babysitting the washer.

Caitlin said it best:

“I don't even notice it in my budget. But I absolutely notice it in my life.”

She got her Sundays back. Her evenings feel more present. And her son still gets the snuggles instead of the “Just give me a minute, buddy” while she folds socks.

FAQs We Actually Talked About

“What if they mess up my clothes?”

Start slow. Don’t send your fancy Italian blouse on week one. But Caitlin found her athletic gear, everyday wear — even sheets — came back folded better than she ever could.

“What about putting it all away?”

We get it. Even when someone else folds it, the final step can linger. Caitlin’s working on a 24-hour put-away rhythm (same, girl). I use a Von Trapp family whistle strategy. Do whatever works — the basket’s already 80% lighter.

“Will my kids know how to do laundry?”

Of course. Outsourcing it now doesn’t mean we’re failing at life skills. As Caitlin put it:

“To his future wife, I promise — he’ll know how to do laundry.”

It's a Mental 401(k)

Maybe my favorite moment in this episode was when Caitlin said:

“This is kind of like my mental 401(k). I’m investing in my now, not just saving for later.”

YES. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

We’re quick to upgrade our wardrobe, our car, or our phone. But when it comes to upgrading our life systems? We hesitate.

It’s time to make the invisible workload visible — and outsource the stuff that’s eating up our energy.

Want to Try It?

Here are a few options we mentioned:

  • Indy Northside: Try Laundry Valet — use code LIFEOFAND for $10 off

  • Nationwide: Use Poplin with code TIFFANY15 for $15 off your first order

  • Dry Cleaners often offer laundry service too — ask them!

Final Thought: Just Try the Exchange

This isn't about luxury. It’s about leverage.
Could you skip Starbucks for a week?
Could you say no to one takeout dinner to test this out?

Try it. See what happens. Worst case? You don’t like it. Best case? You get a few hours of your life back.

As Caitlin said:

“It’s like a magic trick — the basket goes from full to empty. And I didn’t lift a finger.”

Let’s buy back our time, mamas.
You were never meant to do it all.
But you can do what matters most — with margin, clarity, and a fresh pair of folded sheets.

[00:00:00] Caitlin Bond: Getting that time back is, it's priceless. 'cause you know, it's the mom guilt, you know, the summer and being a working mom and really finding the ways to make the most of that time because you don't get the time back and it's going faster and faster. So while he still wants me to be around and involved in the, the snuggles, or the games or the puzzles or coloring, I don't have to tell him, oh honey, I have to go flip the laundry.

[00:00:21] Caitlin Bond: No, I don't have to worry about it. That's priceless to me.

[00:00:25] Tiffany Sauder: I am Tiffany Sauder, entrepreneur, wife, mom to four girls, and a woman figuring it out just like you. If you're tired of living a life of have to and finally ready to build a life of want to, then you're in the right place. Come on, let's go build your Life of And.

[00:00:48] Tiffany Sauder: look, ladies, if you have been saying to yourself, I really should outsource my laundry. And still have not tried. This episode is for you because we are gonna do a download with a real human being, not named Tiffany. Caitlin Bond is joining me to talk about what it actually looks like to outsource your laundry.

[00:01:06] Tiffany Sauder: So it's the

[00:01:07] Caitlin Bond: best thing I've ever done.

[00:01:08] Tiffany Sauder: Yes. So Caitlin is gonna walk us through this because you guys, I know I tell you all the time to outsource your laundry. My number one tip to get a bunch of hours back, and Caitlin has been doing it for how long? Mm-hmm. Probably. Three months. Yeah. So kind of new, but you're never going back.

[00:01:22] Tiffany Sauder: Never. So I asked if she'd come on and share her experience with you so that you guys can hear from somebody not named me what life is like, not doing your laundry. And also walk really realistic, loose through some of the fears and stuff that was like in your head of like, am I really gonna put my stuff in a bag and send it to a stranger and have them hopefully bring 'em back to me.

[00:01:40] Tiffany Sauder: So that's what we're talking about today. Caitlin, thank you for joining me. Thanks for having me. Okay, let's do like just a quick. Kind of backdrop on who you are, just so that people can get an idea of like what your working professional mom life looks like. And then we'll jump into like the laundry, the laundries part of it all.

[00:01:59] Caitlin Bond: Okay. So I'm a mom. I'm 37. Yeah, I think so. Ages, I guess somewhat important. Um, I'm married and then I have a 6-year-old son. He's getting into baseball. We're always, you know, on the go. I mean, again, I feel like. I always say things are crazy, but I don't remember a time that they weren't crazy anymore.

[00:02:18] Caitlin Bond: Mm-hmm. I am a marketing operations manager for a heating and cooling distributor located here in the Indianapolis area, but I cover 58 locations. My husband travels, he's been in retail management for 20 years, so we are both, you know, we travel a lot. We've got a son who's active. You know, and I don't have any siblings.

[00:02:37] Caitlin Bond: He doesn't, you know, we are fortunate enough to have my parents close. Mm-hmm. But for the most part, we're, we're just trying to keep things going on a daily basis

[00:02:45] Tiffany Sauder: and tell work from home, go to the office. What does that look like? Yes.

[00:02:47] Caitlin Bond: So I do work from home, but like I said, I, I, I travel as well, so, you know, having 58 locations, I handle all of our store events, store operations.

[00:02:55] Caitlin Bond: Mm-hmm. So I can go as far west as Iowa, as far south as Alabama, and as far east as Pittsburgh. So I have a big stretch that I cover. Mm-hmm. Um, but again, for the most part, I've been working remotely for six years, so full-time. I always say I worked from home before COVID made it cool. Mm-hmm. So, um, but yeah.

[00:03:12] Caitlin Bond: And then my husband, whenever he's not traveling, he's home. You know, like this morning he got up and he left at 5:00 AM and he's in Iowa all week. So single working mom this week. And you know, it's. Summertime with a a 6-year-old. So there's a lot of things going on. So, okay,

[00:03:27] Tiffany Sauder: let's talk about the laundry thing and then we'll get into just Caitlin's.

[00:03:30] Tiffany Sauder: Hilarious. Which is, which is odd pressure on a podcast. 'cause we were like, okay, I hope I laugh, but what made you even, I don't actually remember the preambles, to you being like, I think I'm actually gonna try this laundry thing. Or was it when I sent you a thing and I was like, I'm telling you, do this.

[00:03:45] Caitlin Bond: Yes. So you always used to recommend another company. And you're like, Hey, there's actually somebody local. I'm gonna hook you up with her and just try it out.

[00:03:53] Tiffany Sauder: Mm-hmm.

[00:03:54] Caitlin Bond: Because I will, I always listen to Tiffany talk about this and I'm like, you know what? I'm in a different tax bracket. Like, this is just not in my realm.

[00:04:01] Caitlin Bond: You know, I work hard, but I'm like, I just, that just does not seem like something that, you know, sitting down and putting a pen to paper for a budget, you know, that's not, it just didn't make sense to me. Like, I felt like I could allocate my money a different way. But, um, but did you

[00:04:13] Tiffany Sauder: think that before you knew how much

[00:04:15] Caitlin Bond: it was gonna

[00:04:15] Tiffany Sauder: cost?

[00:04:16] Caitlin Bond: I think, or I did, I think I just, I also thought it was just a rich people thing. Mm-hmm. Like I think of the movies, you know, and they have like, somebody drop their, their laundry off at the door, you know, and I've learned that there's like a butler that needs to be there to collect it. Yes. You know, and it's funny, we were actually just in Las Vegas, I used big Hilton girl.

[00:04:31] Caitlin Bond: I stayed at the Waldorf and there was a, there was a butler's. Dry, clean closet. It was like a valet for your laundry. I'm like, okay, this is, this is the whole thing. But that's in my head. That's what laundry service was, you know? Mm-hmm. You know, knock twice and pick up, or one of my favorite movies, the Devil Wears Prada, you know, take the book to the table.

[00:04:52] Caitlin Bond: Do not go anywhere else but the dry cleaning there, like that's in my head. That's what it was. But we did the first code that you hooked me up. It was incredible. Like, I get this bag and I put. Everything I can think of in this bag. She has two different weight capacities. 25 pounds, 45, but then this 25 pound bag, anything that I can put in it will come back clean.

[00:05:15] Caitlin Bond: I'm like, there's gotta be a catch. Like, you know, I'm the girl, you know, I, nice thing. So I wanna wash 'em and hang 'em to dry and you know, put 'em the right way. So it was, it was kind of a control thing. Mm-hmm. You know, to be able to just like, okay, this might come back the way I do it, it may not, you know, or things gonna come back, you know, like an extra small, like a crop top, you know, look like I'm wearing one of my sun shirts.

[00:05:34] Caitlin Bond: It wasn't, it was amazing and it was life changing. And after that first week I was like, I'm never doing this again. Like I am shipping all of my laundry off on a weekly basis. And it's silly how a laundry pickup has so many other, like, mental, I don't even know what to call 'em. It's just like how it changes things mentally for me because on Sunday I'd always be like, oh, well I've gotta do this, I've gotta do this.

[00:05:58] Caitlin Bond: Like, you know, Sunday's scaries, I gotta make sure I have everything ready to go. And, you know, prepping, I've got, you know, the plan, you know, I make my calendar so, you know, our plan, you know, family figuring everything out. And it's just knowing that I don't have to figure out time to, you know, I have to run home so I can start this load and we gotta be back home in like 45 minutes to an hour so I can flip it.

[00:06:19] Caitlin Bond: 'cause if you slow down that schedule, it pushes everything back and then you're just, you know, you're screwed from there. So knowing that I can see that basket and a, it does not give me incredible anxiety. And B, that moment that I fill it all up in that bag and that ba, that basket is empty. It's like mind blowing.

[00:06:35] Caitlin Bond: Mm-hmm. It's crazy. Mm-hmm. And even something so little, I mean, this is kind of embarrassing to my older self, but I didn't realize like cleaning sheets was a regular thing when I was in college. That's kind of gross. But you know, I'm learning in my adult years mm-hmm. Having the second set of sheets. You know, so I Did you

[00:06:50] Tiffany Sauder: have a second set before you sent them out?

[00:06:52] Tiffany Sauder: No. Yes, but I'm like, because it sets up essentially a process trigger. It does. Like if I'm gonna send my sheets out, I can't have my bed. Well, you can have your bed, not have sheets for it, but it starts to create these. Systems and rhythms. Yes. That are a forcing function for the discipline you actually want to have.

[00:07:09] Tiffany Sauder: Exactly. Okay. So it, so one of the costs you incurred in sending your laundry out was getting a second pair of sheets for probably your bed and your son's bed.

[00:07:15] Caitlin Bond: Yes. Yeah. And it's amazing. And then they come back in and they're all washed, dried, folded. Shout out to anybody local in Indianapolis, or not Indianapolis, I guess north side, but Laundry Valet Courtney is incredible.

[00:07:27] Caitlin Bond: Everything is wrapped in like Saran wrap and labeled and you know, in my sheets. She just gets it. She's a mom and she puts it. Uh, a dryer sheet in there. So it's like, so that it smells good. Yes. Mm-hmm. So when I go to flip 'em out the next week, I'm like, oh, they smell so good. 'cause who doesn't love fresh, clean sheets?

[00:07:42] Caitlin Bond: It just smell good. Totally. They smell

[00:07:43] Tiffany Sauder: like the dryer. Yeah. My advice is don't do your laundry. And there's a lot of different ways to get that done. And you're using a local company, Courtney, who owns it, she started it maybe like a year and a half ago, called the Laundry Valet. And that's like someone local.

[00:07:59] Tiffany Sauder: It's very consistent. At least for right now, until she grows and you have a relationship with her, you can text her, right? Oh,

[00:08:06] Caitlin Bond: she's great. She actually, a couple weeks ago, she completely saved me again. I look at my laundry basket, I don't even think about it. Yeah, Sunday threw everything in. Well, here it comes.

[00:08:14] Caitlin Bond: Tuesday. My son had a baseball game and I'm like. Oh my gosh, where's the uniform? Yeah. So I text her, I'm like, is there a shop that I can come pick this up? And she's like, oh yeah, you can just run. And like my dad picked it up now, I think my dad and her husband are like best friends. It's like, it's a whole thing.

[00:08:27] Caitlin Bond: Yeah. But yeah, and so she saved the day and we got his uniform. So I mean, she's great. And it's a 48 hour turn turnaround, so she's. You know, and most of the services, again, nationwide, they're about that speed. Yeah. 24 to 48 hours. Yep. And it's amazing. It's just, and I love knowing that I'm supporting, you know, a local mm-hmm.

[00:08:43] Caitlin Bond: Mom, you know, that has a background in, I think she did commercial laundering before.

[00:08:47] Tiffany Sauder: Yeah. I think she worked for Cintas or something like that.

[00:08:49] Caitlin Bond: Yeah. So it's, it's great. And she's just, she's been really awesome and, and it's just, it's so funny. So somebody I've never met, I feel like she's one of my great friends.

[00:08:57] Caitlin Bond: I'm like, oh my gosh, you give, bring me so much happiness. Mm-hmm. And just knowing that that basket's empty.

[00:09:01] Tiffany Sauder: Totally. So. So when your laundry comes back, what's your rhythm for getting it all put away? Do you, is that like random? Is that sy systematized? How do you think about doing that?

[00:09:12] Caitlin Bond: Okay, so I'm working on this one, um, to my husband, Jeremy, close your ears.

[00:09:16] Caitlin Bond: So it's funny because like when you go on a trip. I'm the person I start packing, figuring out what I'm gonna wear. You know, I end up throwing it all together last minute. Mm-hmm. But let me tell you what that unpack, that can take like a week, two weeks. Like I'm just not, I don't know. It's that post vacation.

[00:09:30] Caitlin Bond: Mm-hmm. Kind of the same thing with the laundry. Some people, you know, would put it away the second it comes back. I'm trying to get better at that. You know, again, it's the same thing even when you do your laundry. Mm-hmm. You know, you may wash it and it just kind of hangs out in the dryer. But I'm working very diligently on with like the 24 hours, putting it all away.

[00:09:47] Caitlin Bond: Um, and I know she also just started offering a service, uh, an upgrade service to put everything on hangers. So that's another really cool option. Mm-hmm. You know, if you have a service, if you're close, just see if they have any of those upgrade services. Mm-hmm. It's amazing. Does it

[00:10:01] Tiffany Sauder: bother you to see this stuff out, or not really?

[00:10:03] Tiffany Sauder: You're like, it doesn't bug me.

[00:10:05] Caitlin Bond: I think, I know it's clean, so it's kind of like it doesn't bother you. After the party having the balloons up, I'm like, Hey, look, it's done. Yeah, I don't, I don't

[00:10:11] Tiffany Sauder: think it, yeah, I think it doesn't. It's what bugs you. If it doesn't bug you, then I feel like, do however you wanna do.

[00:10:16] Tiffany Sauder: I don't like stuff, and so when our laundry comes back, when we send it out, I put it all out on the island. And that's sort of like Von Trap family style, where it's like I kind of. Essentially blow a whistle and it's like everybody's got 10 minutes to put away. Yep. Because when it's time bound you act, it actually takes a very short amount of time to do it.

[00:10:34] Tiffany Sauder: Yes. But it feels big. Your head for some reason, adds complexity to it instead of being like, okay on, I'm always better in the morning. Like if your stuff comes back on Wednesday, it's like Thursday morning, I'm just gonna get up 10 minutes earlier. Yep. Put everything away and it's just done. And that's how it goes or not.

[00:10:50] Caitlin Bond: Yeah. I mean, I would say I try to do within like that first day. But again, I'm, I'm also practicing my minimums. Yeah. You know, totally. Whenever my husband's gone or, you know, if I have a baseball game, you know, whatever I have going on, you know, I try to, 'cause obviously if it sits around, it may get a little bit more wrinkled.

[00:11:04] Caitlin Bond: Yeah. But yeah, it's, I try to do it quickly, but it doesn't bother me. Now. My husband, he wants his done right away, so sometimes it'll just be like my pile. Mm-hmm. For a day. But yeah, we're good.

[00:11:13] Tiffany Sauder: Was it hard to get him on board with trying this?

[00:11:16] Caitlin Bond: So it was so funny, he, his, his concern was, what if we lose a sock?

[00:11:21] Caitlin Bond: For the love a sock. Yeah. Like, I will sign you up for a sock like membership. I'll just have 'em shipped to you all the time. Like he was worried about losing a sock. I'm like, how many socks have our dryer eaten? Mm-hmm. Or a dog, you know? But that was, that was his concern if we would lose a sock. And I'm like, okay, it, it'll be fine.

[00:11:37] Caitlin Bond: And at first I didn't send some of my, my nicer things, like things that I, you know, they always say your athletic gear. Mm-hmm. You know, hang that to dry. I've sent it and I, I've had no issue. So it was kind of one of those weeks, you know, the first couple weeks I'm like, Ooh, I'm gonna take care of it. I'm just gonna send these things uhhuh.

[00:11:53] Caitlin Bond: That way, you know, they get screwed up and then it's like, oh my gosh, this is amazing. And it's the best thing ever. You know, I have a couple like nicer items that I'll still have dry, clean and whatnot. Yeah. But I mean, it all just goes in the bag.

[00:12:05] Tiffany Sauder: Well I think that's smart. Any new like laundry relationship?

[00:12:08] Tiffany Sauder: 'cause your stuff, you do care about it. Yeah. You do want it to be taken care of and to like. Test it with stuff that is not your favorite silk shirt maybe, or something that you bought in Italy, you know, on your honeymoon is I think that's smart to test it with. Some loads that you're like, if this, you know, if the, if the washing machine washes it, that's fine.

[00:12:29] Tiffany Sauder: I wanna take a quick moment to thank my partners at Share Your Genius. For the past four years, they have been an incredible part of my journey. Behind the Microphone, share Your Genius is a content and podcast production agency that helps leaders and brands bring their message to life. So, whether you're trying to find your voice, develop a content strategy, or get your leader behind a microphone, they're gonna help you make it simple strategic.

[00:12:50] Tiffany Sauder: And impactful. So we've got a local service like the Laundry Valet, which is an awesome option. We have Poplin, which is a nationwide service, and it is, and they're trained, but it is very much more like, and you can favorite your laundry pro, just like you do your Instacart driver, but it's more like a network of laundry pros.

[00:13:10] Tiffany Sauder: Yeah. That's how Poplin is. And then almost all dry cleaners also have a laundry service. Which I think is a great option if you're like, I just don't want people coming to my house. Yeah. I don't want people to know where I live. I, I want to like kind of go drop it off and pick up, although a lot of the dry cleaners also have pickup and delivery services, I have yet to have good luck with a laundromat doing my laundry.

[00:13:33] Tiffany Sauder: The times I have tried it, it has come back just like super crunchy. Ew. And like just not folded in a way that feels, ew. As highly cared for as I'd like. Like I know Courtney does for you or when Poplin when they do mine, it's like literally these people are professionals at laundry. Yeah. Like are they better or worse at folding than you are?

[00:13:54] Caitlin Bond: Oh, she's so much better. Yeah. It's funny. I actually wonder like, does she have some like European machine that like folds all these 'cause they are so perfectly folded. Yeah. You know, back in my day, in college days, I worked retail. I'll never forget, we worked at The Limited and we had to fold sweaters, whoever thought fold these sweaters.

[00:14:09] Caitlin Bond: Yes. For table's a worse idea, but you always get, get that board out. Mm-hmm. So I don't know what board she has. Mm-hmm. But it's the best. Mm-hmm. Everything is perfectly. And it's, it's funny, I've even kind of adjusted like my, my, uh, my drawer organization, so to match her folds, uhhuh. And again, it sounds so silly, but I mean, it's just like these little puzzle pieces that all come together

[00:14:28] Tiffany Sauder: Totally.

[00:14:28] Tiffany Sauder: And everything looks better in your It does. And so you wear more of your things and it like, looks more appealing. And I think it's like all part of. Feeling like I am working super hard for this life and there's like these little treat moments in my day. Oh

[00:14:42] Caitlin Bond: yeah. Yeah. It's so funny. So you mentioned treat.

[00:14:44] Caitlin Bond: So again, going back like, I thought this was like a rich people thing. Like I always, you know, I heard you talk about it. That's not something I can do. I don't even notice it in my budget. You know, I don't know if we've said what it costs, how much do you pay a week? So I pay $35 a week and Yeah. It's crazy.

[00:14:59] Caitlin Bond: I, I don't notice it. Mm-hmm. You know, in my head we, even, once I found out. I'm like, oh my gosh, you know, it's gonna be, you know, this or dinner. I mean, kidding. But, you know, same thing. And again, not going to avoid, like, things are even more expensive now. Mm-hmm. But it, I don't notice it at all. And I think the mental clarity and just like endorphins that I get from knowing that I don't have to babysit the washer and dryer.

[00:15:22] Caitlin Bond: Mm-hmm. Now, again, there's certain things that I, I still do. I do my towels something. You never touch it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it's fine. Towels are easy to fold, like. Moms unite. We can all be excited when we get to the dryer, when we know there's been something in it and we find out it's towels, it's a towel.

[00:15:34] Caitlin Bond: It's like, yes, like so true. This moment of euphoria, it's like, oh, it's only towels. It's not 4,000 little socks to match. But no, it's the same thing, you know? Yeah. So, you know, I can handle the one offs saying, you know, the baseball uniform, I do handle that one Now, Uhhuh, because that was, uh. That was pretty scary.

[00:15:49] Caitlin Bond: Yeah. But, um, it, I mean, it's incredible and I think she, honestly, she does better. I know she does laundry better than my husband. He tries. I appreciate that. What your whole 80 20. Mm-hmm. You know, I get that. Mm-hmm. But it's, it's great. And I can't even describe the mental aspect of it because yes, it, there's the physical and the time, but I just, it makes me like, have so much clarity.

[00:16:10] Caitlin Bond: Like, for me, I'm very like task driven and I always, you know, I always have a to-do list and I've, I've already rubbed off on my son. But knowing that that's already checked off. Mm-hmm. Like it's just a huge, you know, just mental, just to have that already done on my list.

[00:16:24] Tiffany Sauder: Well, I think that's a huge part of it.

[00:16:25] Tiffany Sauder: But also, I know you said you've been to this for about three months and you just got a, like a fairly significant promotion in Raise. Yes. Is that fair? Yes. So I also think one of the things we need to think about as women, but I think also just as couples is like as we're earning more, what if we took. 2% of that.

[00:16:45] Tiffany Sauder: 1% of that. Yeah. And put it towards things that give us our time back instead of just putting it towards things that is accumulating stuff, which like the stuff takes both our time and money a lot of times. Yeah. Everything I own, I have to maintain, I have to store it, I have to take care of it. I have to do all this and it's taking my time and my money.

[00:17:04] Tiffany Sauder: When I have like, support with a service like this, it's like, it's taking my money, but it's giving me time.

[00:17:09] Caitlin Bond: Oh yeah. It's, it's, it's incredible. So I think

[00:17:11] Tiffany Sauder: that's, I'm not saying that's not, that's why you haven't felt it in your budget, but yeah, it's timed at a time where you and your husband are at places where you have some pretty significant opportunities in your career and giving yourself that time for each other and for your son and to lead, like lean into these new positions at work, I think is also.

[00:17:28] Tiffany Sauder: Yeah. Like well timed what you guys doing well

[00:17:30] Caitlin Bond: and the same thing, you know, like you're talking about, you know, like budget, you know, you get something changes with you financially and you know, you'll adjust your 401k. Like, this is kind of like my mental 401k. Mm-hmm. You know, and I never really thought about that until just now, but you know, I am investing towards my future and my retirement.

[00:17:46] Caitlin Bond: Well, I need to invest in my now as well. Mm-hmm. You know, and that's, that's a, like a very small fee and it just has such just amazing outcome and effects and. Just, it's crazy. Like today actually ended up being my pickup day. And again, like carrying that bag down, it's just, it's the best. I just set it on the porch and I get a text saying that it's been picked up and it's, you know, having a crazy, busy weekend.

[00:18:12] Caitlin Bond: You know, I was able to enjoy it. I didn't feel like I had to get home, you know, my husband and I were away for the weekend for work and you know, I got home. It wasn't like, oh honey, hi, I see you, my, you know, to our child. We were able to spend some time with him. What do you wanna do? Let's go outside and play.

[00:18:25] Caitlin Bond: Because if not, I would've been glued to the washer and dryer. And again, you know, I, my husband is amazing and supportive. But again, it's, it's the same thing. Getting that time back is, it's priceless. 'cause you know, every, it's the mom guilt, you know, the summer and having, you know, being a working mom and really finding the ways to make the most of that time because you don't get the time back and it's going faster and faster, so.

[00:18:47] Caitlin Bond: You know, while he still wants me to be around and involved in the, the snuggles or the games or the puzzles or coloring, I don't have to tell him, oh honey, I have to go flip the laundry. No, I don't have to worry about it. And that's, that's priceless to me. I.

[00:19:01] Tiffany Sauder: What if people say to you like, what if your son doesn't know how to do the laundry because you're sending it out?

[00:19:06] Tiffany Sauder: Oh, don't worry. I will teach

[00:19:07] Caitlin Bond: him. There's still gonna be towels, there's still gonna be towels, there's still towels. Uh, but no, he also eats like a 6-year-old boy, so we are constantly having to do some, uh, spot treatments here and there. Yeah. But no, he loves, he loves being involved in helping. Yeah. So. But no, don't worry.

[00:19:22] Caitlin Bond: Um, to his future wife, I will teach him that. I promise you.

[00:19:25] Tiffany Sauder: And that's what I say is, um, they don't have to do every load of laundry in their life to know how to do a load of laundry. Yeah,

[00:19:30] Caitlin Bond: yeah. Yep. I want him to, you know, to be the, the kid when he goes away to college and all the girls are like, he knows how to do laundry.

[00:19:35] Caitlin Bond: Yes, he does. So he cleans baseboards. He mops, yeah. That's usually his punishment. Like when he tells me he's bored and I'm like, I've got baseboards honey. And he's like, okay, I'll find something. I'm good. Yeah.

[00:19:46] Tiffany Sauder: Well, do you wanna do a commercial for, uh, Courtney and the Laundry Valet?

[00:19:49] Caitlin Bond: Yes. So here again, if you're on the north side of Indianapolis, the Laundry Valet, she's doing a coupon code for anybody who wants to try it out.

[00:19:57] Caitlin Bond: It's her code. Is LIFEOFAND. One word. And that will give you $10 off your first service. So. Show notes is where we'll put it. We'll get all of her info there.

[00:20:07] Tiffany Sauder: Um, and if you're Googling it, there's a few Laundry Valet’s in the nation. So just put Laundry Valet. Yeah, like Zionsville Carmel, and we'll get that to you.

[00:20:13] Tiffany Sauder: But we'll put it in show notes so that people can take a look. And also if, if you're not in Indianapolis and you're wanting to figure out how to outsource your laundry, or you're in Indie and not on the north side, poplin is also an awesome option. And we can put the code. Tiffany 15, we'll drop that also in show notes.

[00:20:30] Tiffany Sauder: All great options. Like there's literally. The, the perfect option is the one that works for you and your family. It's not that I don't like. They're all awesome and we need all of them because a hundred percent of professional women need to stop doing your laundry unless it gives you joy. Yeah,

[00:20:45] Caitlin Bond: but it does not give me joy.

[00:20:46] Caitlin Bond: It does not. It doesn't. No joy is given at all. My joy comes from having that basket go. It's like a magic trick, you know? It goes, just goes from full to empty and then it's clean and it's amazing. I love it. Oh my gosh. Please do it. I'm telling you, try it once. You, you know, maybe skip a couple Starbucks throughout the week, or a fancy coffee or, you know, when you go to dinner, just maybe skip an app once or twice.

[00:21:07] Caitlin Bond: Mm-hmm. I mean, it's crazy. It's crazy. Yeah.

[00:21:09] Tiffany Sauder: It's findable money. 30 days, $5 a week is findable money. It is in most of our budgets. Yeah, it is. Mm-hmm.

[00:21:15] Caitlin Bond: Especially with a coat. So you can get a little discount for the first time, but you'll, you'll be going back. So it's, it's the best.

[00:21:20] Tiffany Sauder: Well, thanks for being courageous enough to try it the first time, Caitlin.

[00:21:22] Tiffany Sauder: 'cause I was like, just. Try it. I know. And I'm so glad that it's giving you time back for the real things that life really, really

[00:21:29] Caitlin Bond: matters. Oh yeah. And I think it's funny you say that because I think you had sent the code and I mean, I could pull it up. I think it probably took me like four weeks to actually try it again.

[00:21:36] Caitlin Bond: It was crazy. It's that whole letting go, you know, control freak thing, but oh my gosh. It's the best thing I ever did.

[00:21:43] Tiffany Sauder: Oh, well this is why I have you on, because I tell people, just try it. Yes. And I think people do think it's something that I can access that they can't and it's like, no. Like literally anybody can.

[00:21:54] Tiffany Sauder: Pay for this. It's a, if you get your nails done, skip that for two months and try it. If you buy Starbucks every day, skip that. Like yeah, have a glass of wine before you go to dinner and don't buy the $15 glass of wine at dinner. Like I know crazy. Those are also simple joys in life, but I. Just try the exchange.

[00:22:11] Tiffany Sauder: Try it. Try the exchange and see if you stick with it. It's amazing.

[00:22:14] Caitlin Bond: Thank you. You changed me. I love it. It's the best thing I did. Awesome.
